The work of inspection of catering establishments in the City has been expedited by the appointment of an additional inspector for this purpose. Two are now engaged whole time in this work- Comment has been made in the reports for 1944 and 1945 on the importance of this industry in Westminster and the need for constant supervision of the conditions in catering establishments, end of the' nature and quality of food served. There is a tendency even more pronounced than during the war years for nin r cases of food poisoning to arise.
