It will be seen by the foregoing figures, that 66 per cent, of the male attendants have been in the service more than five years, whilst 58 per cent, have been in the service for periods above ten years. Of the female attendants 30 per cent, count above five years’ service, whilst 23 per cent, count above ten years. Leave of absence for the day is granted every ninth day ; and, in addition* every attendant has a holiday of ten days annually.
