Photograph of an 18th century parturition or birthing chair from Switzerland. The item was previously part of the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum but is now held by the Science Museum (A63533). Another photograph of this image was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 12th October 1935 (PHO 5262).
