    Introduction The primary object of this booklet is to be of assistance to you in the feeding of your baby. Food is about the most interesting thing to your baby in the first months of life, and if he enjoys his food and is satisfied with it, many of your troubles are over. Our suggestions are purposely simple so that they can be adjusted to suit different babies and different households. Your baby is an indivi- dual and no set of rules and regulations could suit every baby. His management and care must be watched over by yourself and your doctor who know your baby as a unique person. Although this book is mainly about feeding we have included a number of other suggestions. We do not pretend that this is a general ‘“‘baby book”’ or that it answers all the questions that mothers may ask about the care of their babies. We do hope, however, that it will be helpful and will relieve you of some of the common worries of motherhood. If there is any further information you feel we can give you, especially about feeding, please do not hesitate to write to us.
