Cliff, in highly-glazed porcelain, beautifully finished, and with all internal edges and corners care- fully roundedoff,so as to afford no possiblelodgment for nastinesses of any kind. These are just what sinks should be ; and every wise householder should look at them before admitting any other kind into his house. And finally we direct the attention of water- drinkers to Spencer’s Magnetic Filter, which pos- sesses the peculiar advantage of being self-cleansing and self-renewing; that is to say, which requires nothing after a hard week’s work but to be left in peace and emptiness for half an hour or so, to be quite ready to begin filtering again as effectively as ever. The South Kensington ‘ Catalogue,’ by the way, describes this excellent filter under the title of the “Magnesia” filter, which has not a fascinating sound. But this is pure jocularity on the part of the cataloguer.
