Description
Founded in 1821, the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science was the first college of pharmaceutical sciences in the United States
Two panels ( from a series of six in the college foyer, portraying the evolution of pharmacy), which bear a quote from Pasteur: "Laboratories - there it is that humanity grows greater stronger better"

The lettering is hand-written onto the surface of the photograph. The back of the photograph bears a stamp which reads: "The Photo-illustrators 1206 Walnut St. Phila., Pa. Commercial Photographers"
