Description

The main stages in the radical operation of abdomino-thoracic gastrectomy are shown. Patients seen at different stages after operation, showing their capacity to eat a good meal: one whose operation is featured is tucking into a meal of mashed potato and meat with a bottle of stout. Patients who have survived for long periods after abdominal gastrectomy: 10 featured have a meal together and eat heartily; they complete their meal with a cup of tea and a cigarette. At the end, the intertitles are 'Cancer of the Stomach Must be/And Can be/CRUSHED if caught in time - illustrated by a hand crushing a real crab/The End'.
