The Ministry of Housing and Local Govornnent held an investigation into the proposed sohene in January, 1963* Br oadvrinds or. In June, the Council decided that details of a sewerage schene for the village be prepared in view of the provision of a r.iain \;ater supply during 196^3. Village Soheneas Mains water will be installed in the following villages by the end of 1963. A fortni^tly collection of all household refuse for the ^ whole of the District except Beaninster parish, v;hioh has a v/eekly collection, was introduced in 1961 • The refuse is tipped on the Council*s dunp a nile north of Beaninster town. Litter bins, provided by the Dorset County Coiincil who also contribute towards the cost of collection at official laybys on trunlc and classified roads, are enptied on the nomal refuse collection rounds.
