Quails were boiled ( Good Huswife's Jewel ).] Quince. Romeo and Juliet, \\. 4, 2. Quinces are seldom eaten raw ; being roasted or baked they are more pleasant. The woman with child, which eateth many Ouinces during the time of her breeding, shall bring forth wise children and of good understanding. The marmalade or cotiniate [is] made of Quinces and sugar.
