Between the ages of 4 and 25 there occurred only 36 deaths, as against 48 the previous year, and the low rate of mortality between these ages is remarkable, being at the rate of only 1-2 per 1,000 of the inhabitants. Infant Mortality.—There were 58 deaths registered during the^ year as occurring at ages under one year, as against 655 births.
