"Liber tertius" (2nd group of paging) has special title page, and consists of 50 engraved plates with accompanying letterpress. The plates are for the most part reduced copies of Andreas Vesalius's. Cf. author's letter to the reader, and Harvey Cushing, A biobibliography of Andreas Vesalius. 2 ed. Hamden, 1962 p. 97-98.
Copy 1 Note: MS. marginal and other notes in a contemporary hand. On verso of last leaf is 'Judicium Horatii Augenii de venae sectione uterogerentibus adhibenda scriptum ad Hieronymum Cordollam Med. clar.' It was probably continued on fly-leaves which are now missing. Book-plate of the Duke of Brunswick and Luneburg.
