    CIRCULAR TO INCOMING STUDENTS. Boroueu Roap CoLieGce, IsLEWORTH, Deak Sir, May 1904. In accordance with the notice of your success at the Scholarship Examination already sent, I have now to say that we shall be prepared to receive you as a Student at the Borough Road Training College on Tuesday, 6th September next, from 2 p.m. onwards, provided that your health in the meantime con- tinues good, and that you pass the Doctor’s examination held at the beginning of next term. ‘To fulfil the last requirement you must—unless recently vaccinated—be re-vaccinated, and must bring your certificate with you on coming into residence. The Doctor has instructions to pass no one whose teeth need atten- tion. You should, therefore, take immediate steps to have them attended to, if they require it. Any illness between your medical examination at College and September must be notified to me immediately. The entrance fee of £25 is payable in full on admission. Instruction, board, lodging, washing, and medical attendance are provided during the two academical years’ residence, but during term only.* The Committee reserves the right to require any Student to withdraw before the end of the course (without return ~ of the fee) if misconduct, loss of health, insufficient progress, or the like should make such withdrawal desirable. In addition to - the £25 aforesaid, each Student is required to deposit on entrance the sum of five shillings as “caution money,” to be used or returned in whole or in part at the discretion of the Principal.f A copy of the College Rules will be supplied to you on coming into College, and I beg to remind you that by accepting a Scholarship at this College you undertake to obey implicitly these and such other regulations as may from time to time be made. On pp. 4 and 5 is the list of the candidates to whom King’s Scholarships have been awarded. If there should be any kind of error, be good enough to point it out immediately. The College Curriculum and Time ‘lable are so constructed as to enable Students to proceed towards their degree at London University, whether in Arts or Science. Anyone wishing to read for Honours in Trbarniediat: Mathe- matics for a London degree, in his first year, must on entering - College pass an examination in the mathematical subjects of the Intermediate Pass Examination. The following course of study is prescribed for the months Immediately preceding aaa into College, 7.e., from June to September. I. For all Students :— a. Recitation—Any 200 lines from “ Lyra Heroica.” wy * It may be convenient for you to know that the Christmas Vacation extends over a period of about five weeks, the Haster Vacation about three, “and the Summer Vacation about eight. + The sum of one guinea is also paid by freshmen on entering as a subscription to the Sports Fund, E P 9742, 100.—5/4.
