<p>The programme considers some of the ideas of Ivan Illich presented in his book "Medical Nemesis", and Dr. Bradshaw explains two projects based on Illich's philosophy; the AMIGOS Life Centres, loosely structured, demedicalised health educational elements in a live community centre, to be run by and for the laity in co-operation with local GPs and hospitals; and a new journal that will take a critical look at what the medical establishment is doing, particularly its counter productive activities in the health field as reported in the standard journals. 6 segments.</p>
