In this translation the letters are rearranged and some passages are omitted. The first ed. contains vol. i only in 2 pts. with separate t.ps. This copy has between p. 88 and [89] 'Dedication of the first part' (with half-title and a col. illus.) probably misplaced from the prelims. to pt. i, and G. Bidloo's observations 'On an animalcule'; pt. ii includes a preface 'To the subscribers' with a col. plate.
