Photograph of an x-ray tube. It has an air-cooled gas-filled tube vacuum regulator of mica disc type-small glass vacuum tube fitted between anode and anti-cathode. The item was presented to the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1934 and accessioned in 1956 (accession number R173/1956). It is not held by Wellcome Collection.
