![;■ . , 7. ;E vi ] feries of ill health has prevented me: and, though I am now little qualified for the bufinefs of writing, yet I am fo convinced of the great efficacy of the medicines I am about to propofe, that I cannot leave the world, without doing all in my power to bring them into a more general ufe. I fhall, therefore, after having deferibed them, and ♦ t mentioned the different difeafes to which they have been applied, produce a number of plain fadts, in confirmation of what I have advanced. I am not ignorant, that fomething, like the firft formula, has been ufed by fome phyficians, in the cure of intermittents, where either the bark has failed, or fome particular * • 7 fymptom or circumftance has forbidden its ufe.
