Not only might instruction of this kind be easily and quickly imparted, but its possession would give pleasure and self-reliance to the combatant. Will he not go into action with increased confidence when assured that, if a quick and glorious death be not the immediate consequence of some severe wound, he will meet with speedy assistance, and with such aid as the injury may demand ?
