Photograph of two carved Chinese mortars in ivory depicting a dragon and a bird, possibly a phoenix, within foliage. The mortars were previously part of the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum but are not held by Wellcome Collection. Another photograph of this image was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 4th April 1936 (PHO 7847). Related images: M0007511
