    tainly with great impropriety ; and there cannot be any doubt, but nature for the moft part brings on digeftion in them, in oppolition to bad practice. Irritating drefi- ings are very frequently applied to fores, already preternaturally irritable; hence they are injurious and repugnant to com- mon fenfe.
