Hi, and welcome to a quick introduction on how to use QR codes with your own smartphone in our galleries.
We occasionally use QR codes for content directly related to the exhibitions. QR codes are shown on artwork labels.
A link to our website should pop up at the top of your screen. Tap the link to follow it to the content.
Troubleshooting:
If your phone is having trouble recognising the QR code:
Make sure you hold the phone vertically to scan, rather than tilting it.
Hold your phone about 30cm away, so that the camera can focus properly.
Is your screen brightness low? If so, the camera might not be able to see the code.
If you are having trouble connecting to Wellcome wifi:
Turn on your device’s wifi.
Select the network ‘Wellcome wifi’.
A new portal will open – select ‘Public access’.
Read and accept the terms and conditions.
Then select ‘Log in’.
You should now be able to use Wellcome wifi.
