What you’ll do

Join us for a new workshop developed for SEND students, during which they’ll explore what makes and supports good mental health.

By sharing ideas, handling objects and exploring our 'Medicine Man' gallery, students will investigate the ways in which people can stay happy and healthy. They'll also take part in a creative activity to make their own amulet or charm to take away.

'Head Space' is a single session of 90 minutes, but we can change its length or start time to fit the needs of your group.

Who can come

Our SEND sessions have been developed in consultation with schools to ensure they are challenging and adaptable. They can be enjoyed by a wide range of students with a variety of needs: from mild learning disabilities through to profound and multiple learning disabilities.

'Head Space' has been designed for groups of 5 to 12 students aged 14 to 25, plus accompanying staff. When you book, we'll send you preparation materials to use with your group ahead of your visit. This workshop links to science and life skills curricula.

Due to the small scale of our free programme, schools in the Greater London area have priority until 12 December. From this date booking is open to schools outside Greater London.
