Alison Claire France

Alison is a Deaf multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, sculpture and immersive installation. She is passionate about accessibility, inclusion and creating opportunities for Deaf and hearing communities to engage with art together. Like Audrey Amiss, she has lived experience of mental health challenges, which has deepened her understanding of the importance of creativity as a means of expression, reflection and connection. She leads BSL tours that encourage visitors to engage with exhibitions through a Deaf-led perspective, fostering dialogue, curiosity and new ways of seeing.
