What you’ll do

Join members of our Visitor Experience and Engagement team for a conversation about death. You’ll talk in small groups, each led by a facilitator. Discussions may be open and free-flowing, or they may focus on themes of memorials and memory.

You'll be invited to share your own experiences and are welcome to say as much or as little as you’d like. You can also choose to just listen.

This is a relaxed event, so you can move around during the session. A separate chill out space will be available if you need to take a break from the gallery or event spaces. The chill out space has:

  • low lighting
  • no displays, images or other content
  • comfortable seating and places to lie down
  • sensory access tools like tinted glasses, ear defenders, blankets and sensory toys.

To help create a confidential and safe space for everyone, we’ll close the doors at 11:45am. Latecomers won't be able to join the event after this time.

This event is recommended for people aged 18 and over.
