Join a workshop to design and create badges that help you tell the world who you are. Whether you’ve tried craftivism before, or it’s completely new to you, this session is open to all.
You’ll learn embroidery techniques and then put them into action to create a badge that represents a part of yourself, whether that’s your political beliefs, a subculture you’re a part of, your hobbies or even your hair colour.
We’ll be in the Studio on level 1. When you enter Wellcome Collection, head up the stairs or take the lift, then follow the signs.
Each workshop has 25 spaces available and you can sign up from 13:30 in the Studio.
If you’re visiting the museum with a parent, guardian or support worker, they are welcome to drop you off at our Studio. If you’d like someone to support you during the session, just let us know in advance of the session or on the day.

Anni Movsisyan is an multi-disciplinary artist and educator. Working with performance, textiles, illustration and music, she aims to share her journeys of learning about her cultural heritage and her experiences as an Armenian-Iranian person raised in the West, often perceived as white and gendered as a woman. She enjoys reading visionary fiction (speculative and science fiction exploring social justice issues) and studying ethnobotany.
