What you'll do

Join Enver and Rebekah from our Visitor Experience Team for a soap-making workshop.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll be able to select from a variety of moulds, colours, scents and additional materials to create your own special soap. Once you’ve made the soap, it will take 30 minutes to set before you can take it away with you.

While you wait for your soap to solidify, take a look at a display of historical items and videos from our collections, related to soap, hygiene, and health. You could also explore the rest of Wellcome Collection or just take a break.

There will be a chill-out space with cushions, blankets, ear defenders, earplugs and stim toys.

No experience is necessary to attend and all soap-making materials will be provided. The workshop is open to everyone, and children are welcome to participate if accompanied by an adult.
