Hear the Word of the Lord, ye Children of Israel: for the Lord hath a Controversy with the Inhabitants of the Land, Hos. iv. 1. Because they regard not the Works of the Lord, nor the Operations of his Hands, he shall destroy them and not build them up. Psal. xxviii. 5. Published as a Means to promote Repentance, and Reformation, and to administer Consolation to all serious Christians, in Times of common Calamity. A Book always proper to be in every Family, and its Contents of the utmost Importance to be known unto, and considered by, all Sorts of People.
