About this work

Description

One of a series of chromolitho trade cards issued to advertise Dr. Grosvenor's Liveraid, which was supposed to "cure any case of constipation, biliousness, headache, liver complaint, dyspepsia, indigestion, malaria, rheumatism or any other diseases springing from a deranged liver or stomach" and Bellanodyne pain relieving plasters. The illustration shows 3 ducklings (1 yellow, 2 brown) chasing 2 frogs into a pond with trees and a sunny sky behind them and a spray of water lilies and meadowsweet tucked through a card advertising the product.
