![The following is a selection of the names of a few of the eminent persons at home and abroad, who have either expressed themselves favorably in writing of the Chrono-Thermal method of curing dis- eases, or, being physicians, reduced it to successful practice: Dr. S. Dickson, its discoverer, London; the late Lord Melbourne, Pre- mier to Queen Victoria ; Lieut. Col. Witherall, British Army; Gen. Pritzler and Sir Richard Armstrong, do ; the late Sir Astley Cooper; Sir Jumes McGregor, Bart.; Lieut. Col. Powell, British Army; Sur- geon Hume, do; F. G. Tomlins, Surgeon Findlay, R. N.; Sir W. C. Trevelyan, Bart.; the late Surgeon Liston ; John Brown, M. R. C. S.; late Chancellor Kent, New York; Willis Hall, Professor Mapes, New York ; late Rev. T. D. Sturtevant, Providence ; John Neal, Portland; Gov. Seward, Rev. T. Wilks, New York; Drs. (Br.) Baron, (biographer of Jenner,) Fosbrokc, (associate of do;) J. A. Wilson, J. Malcolm, A. Clark, F. W. Brett, H. C. Deshon, Jacob Dixon, Gumming, [Madrass,]'C. Greville, H. Smith, C. Trotter, M. Fogarty, II. W. Bull, C, Don, J. Yeoman, J. H. Sprague, J. P. Baldy, M. Carter ; Lacombe, Health Officer, Porto Cabello ; Gon- dret, Paris ; Dietel, Vienna ; Gwynne, Toronto ; Evenhoff, Sweden ; Betou, do ; J. McKenzie, Scotland ; Drs. (American) Turner, New York ; Jones, Louisville, Ky.; Gale, Tonawanda, N. Y.; Kent, Providence, R. I.; J. B. Marsh, Rahway; Condict, Washington ; T. E. Massey. Mobile; J. T. Walsh, Richmond; R. Goodale, Watertown, N. Y.; T. D. Mitchell, Lexington, Ky.; Dr. Gorrie, Apalachicola, &e., &c. No account is here taken of the hundreds and thousands in New York and elsewhere who adopt the new method without acknowl- edgment. At the present moment, says the London People's Medical Inquirer, the head of the medical profession ALL, more- or less, now practice Chrono-Thcrmalim. Sir Benjamin Brodie does it; Dr. Marshall Hall, Dr. Watson, Dr. Copland, Dr. Todd, and Dr. Ashburner do it; the two Hollands do it; Dr. John Forbes does it; and, save the mark !—Mr. Smith, of Belper, does it. This declaration, made in November last, is not contradicted. Every doiscverer, says Dr. Dickson, must, in the first instance, be in a minority of one. The above, comprises but a few of the great names in Europe and this country, who practice, successfully, in the school of Chro- no-Thermalism. Although we are not skilled in the healing art, from what we have heard of the above mode of treating disease, we have every reason to put implicit faith in its success.
