In the absence of the doctor the nurse should apply hot bottles, hot blankets, and give hot drinks during a rigor. The temperature is recorded on what is called a tem- perature chart. Some charts are designed to show only the morning and evening temperature, others are printed to record the temperature at more frequent intervals.
