In the summer they prefer either to walk or sit in the garden or to play tennis and | other games provided. Above the dining-room is a really ip palatial hall, with a spring floor for dancing and a well-appointed p= stage for concerts and amateur dramatic performances. The Welfare Pavilion is under the direction of a qualified Z doctor and a Harley Street dentist. Here, injuries—trivial or pe severe—may be attended to immediately and advice and treat- is Boy ment given for minor ailments. In this department, employ- ees are given facilities equal to those offered in the most fashion- able surgeries. Probably the most interesting department in the Pavilion is the Sun Ray Room, where employees may enjoy, also free of charge, the health-giving and vitalising influence of ultra-violet rays. ‘The staff are given every opportunity to take the fullest advantage of this. Mention could be made also of the thrift schemes in opera- tion to which the firm contribute in considerable measure. That the policy adopted by the firm is the right one is shown by the cordial relations which have always existed between the workers and the management. The workers feel they are a part of a great enterprise. They give of their best in return for all that is done to make work pleasant and happy for them.
