    Mr. Mayor, Ladies and Gentlemen, I beg to present my report for the year 1943, which, in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health, has been restricted to essential matters, more particularly the com¬ pilation of figures for record purposes. The Minister has also drawn attention to the importance, on grounds of national security, of not publishing any figures, from which the local population may be deduced.
