No text description is available for this image![OFFICES, SHOPS 8c RAILIVAY PREMISES ACT I963 This-vAct made fresh provision for securing the health, safety and welfare of persons employed to viTork in offices, shop premises and certain railway premises. Administration of the Act is shared by local authorities, fire authorities, the factory inspectorate and mine and quarry inspectors. All premises registered with the local authority have been inspected, a total of Premises being registered in this Urban District. During the year 19’^, ^ total of 38 new registrations were received. Of 96 general inspections carried out, 6l premises were found not to comply in one or more respects with the Health, Safety and \3elfare provisions of the Act, Summaries are given below in tabular form of registrations and general inspections, contraventions and accidents.
