Births and Deaths in Birkenhead.—During the year 1908 the returns of the local registrars recorded 3775 births and 1929 deaths in the Borough of Birkenhead. The natural increase in the population in 1908 was therefore 1846. Of the births 1914 were males and 1861 were females; of the deaths 958 were males and 971 were females. Further particulars as to tho births and deaths in the Borough registered in each quarter of tlie year, and in each township are given in tho subjoined table.
