![I 30 PELL RECORDS, William Powell ] 22nd °f order the last > of December, 1605. To William Powell, gentleman, his Majesty’s servant, lately sent to the Archduke of Austria and Duke of Burgundy with horses, to be presented unto them, as well the sum of 124/. 19s., by virtue of his Highness’s letters of Privy Seal, dated the 23rd of March, 1604, in full payment of the debts and charges of himself, at 40s. per day, and of 3 grooms, each at 3s. per day, for 112 days, begun the 24th of March last, and continued until the 13th of July follow- ing, 1605, inclusive, being the day of his return to his Ma- jesty’s presence; as also the sum of 29/. 5s. by virtue of other his Highness’s letters of Privy Seal, dated 13th of May last, for the allowance of 2 other grooms and one farrier appointed to attend the said horses, each at the like rate of 3s. per day, for 65 days, begun the 10th of May last, 1605, and ended the said 13th of July then next fol- lowing 154 £. s. d. 4 0 128/4 of February.—By order, the last of November, 1605. ToThomas Lovyll, Esq., lately sent to the King of Spain, and now returned, the sum of 156/. in full payment of his own entertainment, at 40s. by the day, 3 grooms, and 1 farrier, each at the rate of 3s. by the day, for 150 days, begun the 13th of February last, and ended the 12th of July then next following, 1605, being the day of his return to his Majesty’s presence.
