![[ '4 ] Plan, feerns to have a peculiar talent, in giving it up, and collects all his force, not in defence of Mr. le Clerc, but en¬ tirely againfl: the Hiftory ; and if any one will give them (elves the trouble to look thro’ this piece j he will eafily per¬ ceive, that, in this very Critic s account, even Mr. le Clerc is as often in the wrong, as Dr. Freind himfelf. However, that he may not feem altogether of the Dr’s opinions, in refpedt of the Plan, and that his piece may be the more volumi¬ nous, he unfairly reprefents him, as ag¬ gravating Mr. le Clerc s errors, in a much greater degree, than he really does. The Dr, after having given a fhort ac¬ count of the ages,, wherein Oribafius, Aetius, Alexander, and Paulas lived, by the by f obferves, the inaccuracy of a learn¬ ed tract, not only with regard to the age of thefe Phyficians, but al(b to that of Diocles.
