For allowing the truth of his aflertion, that Stephanas lived hi the third century, I find little better reafon that he fhould be clafs’d among the an¬ cient Greeks, than Oribajius who liv’d in the following. I do not imagine he will make this diftindtion on the ac¬ count of their Language, there being no manner of foundation for fuch a conjedture ; whatever Moreau, from whom both Vanderlinden and this Annota¬ tor copy, may fuggeff.
