    [»' ] inconceivable he could be guilty of. f therefore rather think, by ancient, he would make a diftindlion between the Greek writers in Phyfick: but what ground there is for fitch diffindtion, I cannot fee. For allowing the truth of his aflertion, that Stephanas lived hi the third century, I find little better reafon that he fhould be clafs’d among the an¬ cient Greeks, than Oribajius who liv’d in the following. I do not imagine he will make this diftindtion on the ac¬ count of their Language, there being no manner of foundation for fuch a conjedture ; whatever Moreau, from whom both Vanderlinden and this Annota¬ tor copy, may fuggeff. But this Critic feems inclin’d to be in the wrong with any one elfe, rather than to be in the right with the Dr. who, upon very good reafons, has plac’d Konus in the eleventh century, but the Annotator makes him flourifh in the tenth, without condef- cending to produce one argument for it
