Campbell.—Memoir on Extrauterine Gestation. Edinburgh, A. & C. Black, 1840. This is an excellent critical treatise. Chiene.—Contributions to Surgical and General Pathology. Edin- burgh, E. & S. Livingstone, 1870. From a consideration of four cases of obliterated aorta, Chiene concludes that anasto- mosis can be satisfactorily carried on by what Sir W. Turner has described as the sub- or extra-peritoneal system of arteries {v. Turner, Sir Wm.) Dezeimeris.—JoM7-. des Connaiss. Med. Chir., Jan. 1837. We have, unfortunately, not had access to Dezeimeris' memoir. The references to it made by Campbell, Werth, and especially Tait, enable us to gather the scope of his paper, however. Dezeimens drew attention especially to the subperitoneo-pelvic form, and our preparations confirm his statements fully. His views on this point have, however, received scant attention, are denied by Campbell, and ignored by all English authors with the exception of Parry and Tait. For this Dezeimens is partly to blame, as his minute classification of the varieties of extra- uterine gestation laid him open to criticism. _ Yb:Ii^KKL—Diagnose und operative Behandhcng der Extrauterin- sclmangerschaft, Volkmann's Sammlung No. 60. _ Frankei here records a case where the gestation developed m the left Fallopian tube and broad ligament (u Fig. 7, Fiate iii.)
