    ENTERIC FEVER. Fourteen cases admitted. Of those that ended fatally 1 death was due to phthisis pulmonalis. All the cases were of a very severe type. In connection with this I have, with great sorrow, to record that two of my probationary nurses, who had been nursing one of the cases complicated with pneumonia, contracted the disease. i One of them, Elizabeth Hales, died at the Hospital after a few days’ illness. The other, Lucy Jackson, recovered from the typhoid, but, on going home for a change, again fell ill and died of abdominal inflammation.
