None of the Paffions will admit of too fudden a Check. It is much better to en- deavour to fuperfede them, by Means of other, pleafant, Senfations, than to attempt, all at once, to Rifle and reft rain them. The Irritation on the Nerves, when once excited, muft have feme Play.
