That only 5 cases of verminous head and 4 of verminous clothing were detected is a sign of the improvement due to medical inspection. Nevertheless it is advisable that arrangements should be made for securing cleansing, as otherwise the Children’s Act remains a dead letter. The ringworm cases have fallen considerably since the Spring of 1913, and the provision of the clinic has done much to reduce the prevalence. At the end of the year only 2 children were absent because of this disease.
