About this work
Description
The programme looks at how films represent psychiatric disorders given the release of 3 recent films which attempt to portray manic depression, learning difficulties and schizophrenia: 'Igby Goes Down,' 'Dumb and Dumberer,' and 'Identity'. Richard Coles and his guests discuss whether or not we are any further away from some of the cliches typically used to depict mental health disorders.
