![PEEFACE. Diseases of women have been scarcely alluded to, in the valu- able works that have been published on the diseases of Eui-o- peans in India. Indeed, I do not know of any work that embodies the advice contained in the chapter of my Hand- book of Uterine Therapeutics, wherein I have discussed the influence of a tropical climate on the health of British women. For this reason, I republish the chapter with many additions, in the ho]3e that it may be the means of making known the iniles best calculated to enable my coiintry- women to live in India without loss of health.
