I have addressed two medical societies on this subject recently and am now receiving considerable support and am confident that eventually my suggestions will be adopted in whole or in part. General Provision of Health Services for the Area. 1. Nursing in the Home. No change. 2. Domiciliary Midwifery. We have two district midwives. We are fortunate in having an M.R.C.O.G. resident in the town who can be called up in difficult cases. 3. Laboratory Facilities. The County Laboratory connected with the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. The County Laboratory has now removed to the University premises. 4» Health Education. Smoking. Several talks have been given and a film strip has been shown illustrating the evils of cigarette smoking.
