I could wiffi, for the honour of the me¬ dical art, that men of liberal education would leave that fpirit of envy and deti ac- - tion, which too ftrongly chara&erifes many in our profeffion. Men of learning ffiould be generous to one another, and unite their endeavours for the public good. It is a lamentable reflexion to thofe who think, that the mod liberal, ufeful, and Ho¬ nourable profeffion in the world, (hould ioo frequently be compofed of men of the mod illiberal and depraved fentiments.
