![Infectious Diseases. 182 cases of Infectious Diseases were notified during the year, viz. :— Diphtheria and Membranous Croup 6 Erysipelas ... 15 Scarlet Fever ... 88 Enteric Fever ... OpJ]halmia Neonatorum ... 16 5 Pulmonary Tuberculosis ... ... 25 Other Forms of Tuberculosis ... 27 Total ... 182 Last year there were 320 cases notified; and this great number was due to the Epidemic of Scarlet Fever, specially during the first half of the year; whereas this year we have only 88 cases notified as compared to 208 last year. Diphtheria. Of the six eases of Diphtheria notified, four were removed to the Joint Hospital—the other two being isolated and treated at home. The Disease resulted in one death. Erysipelas. Of the 15 cases of Erysipelas notified, all were treated at home, and there were no deaths. Scarlet Fever. Scarlet Fever cases, viz. ; --88 were spread equally over the whole year, being most prevalent in the Weibeck Ward with 30 eases; and the least in Wheldale Ward, viz.:—8 cases.
