    Cerebro-Spinal Meningitis.—1 case was admitted and dis- charged after a residence of 43 days. Permanent deafness followed. Ophthalmia Neonatorum.—1 case was treated and died on the 7th day. This child was Syphilitic and hopeless on admission. Dysentry.—1 case of Chronic Amabic type, a legacy of the war, was admitted and died after 43 days’ residence. Observation Gases.—5 cases were admitted of doubtful diagnosis. Chief symptoms were Malnutrition and Diarrhoea. 4 were discharged after an average residence of 97 days. There was 1 death. Sanatorium.—There were 84 cases admitted during the year, including 18 Non-Pulmonary. The total cases under treatment during the year numbered 88 Pulmonary and 21 Non-Pulmonary. 53 Pulmonary were discharged after an average residence of 140 days. 27 remained under treatment on 31st December, 1924, at which date their residence has varied from 1390 days to 414 da}^s. There were 8 deaths from Pulmonary Tuberculosis, with an average residence of 86 days. The longest residence being 178 days and the shortest 6 days. 10 Non-Pulmonary cases were discharged after an average residence of 82 days. 10 cases still remained under treatment on 31st December, 1924. There was 1 death after a residence of 181 days. Of the total admissions to the Sanatorium, 10 were admitted for the second time. 1 was admitted for the third time. 26 were insured persons, 2 were war pensioners and 56 were Public Health cases. I submit a table giving the number of admissions of Phthisis cases, the stage of the disease, the number still living on 31st Deer., 1924 and the number known to be dead since the Sanatorium opened on October 1916. Up to 31st December, 1924, a total of 477 Phthisis cases have been admitted. Of this number 325 or 68 per cent, are known to be alive and 152 or 32 per cent, have died.
