    15 REPORT, 1890-91. XI. The Vestry. In 1855 the Vestry of Paddington was reconstituted as the Local Authority of the Parish by the Metropolis Local Manage ment Act (18 and 19 Victoria, cap. 120). The Vestry is the Board of Works for Paddington, and consists of Seventy-two Elected Members and the Vicar of Paddington, who is ex-officio Chairman of the Vestry. The ordinary meetings of the Vestry are held at the Vestry Hall, Harrow Road, Paddington Green, on the first and third Tuesdays in each month, the third Tuesday in August and the first Tuesday in September excepted. In 1852 the Vestry resolved to erect a new building for the Municipal purposes of tho Parish, and in 1853 the Vestry Hall in the Harrow Road was opened. XII. The Burial Board. In 1854 the Paddington Cemetery, which is situated in the parish of Willesden, was purchased by the Parish. It is managed by a Burial Board, consisting of Nine Members appointed by the Vestry. The ordinary meetings of the Burial Board are held at the Vestry Hall on the first Thursday in each month. For Report of the Burial Board see Section XXXIX. XIII. The Baths and Wash-houses. In 1871 Paddington adopted the Baths and Wash-houses Act (9 and 10 Victoria, cap. 74), and the Baths and Wash-houses erected in the Queen's Road, on the site of premises formerly numbered 143 and 145 were opened to the public in 1874. The Baths and Wash-houses are under the management of Seven Commissioners appointed by the Vestry. For Report of the Commissioners of Baths and Wash-houses see Section XL.
