THOMAS FORTUNE RYAN Assistant Board—1909-1937 Board of Governors—1912-1937 Died—July 2, 1937 From the Minutes of the Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Woman’s Hospital in the State of New York, held October 18, 1937. Resolved, That in the passing by death on July 2, 1937 of Mrs. Thomas Fortune Ryan, the Woman’s Hospital has lost a true friend and benefactress. Elected to the Assistant Board in 1909 and the Board of Governors in 1912, Mrs. Ryan was a faithful attend¬ ant at their meetings until illness prevented and was ever ready to respond to a Macedonian call. The memory of Mrs. Ryan’s generosity and the warmth of her affections will be a continuing inspiration to those who knew and claimed her an associate. Be It Further Resolved, That the above resolution be spread upon the minutes of this Board and that a trans¬ script be forwarded to her family. Grenville Lindall Winthrop, Finley J.
