This Act is administered by the General Purposes Committee of the County Council, and not by the Public Health and Housing Committee. Eighty-four samples were taken and examined under these Regulations during the year as follows :— Bacon, 2 ; Beef, i; Black Pudding, i; Bread, i; Butter, 2 ; Butter Beans, 5 ; Cakes, 2; Cheese, i ; Confectionery, 21; Cordials, 10 ; Cream, 13 ; Fruits (tinned and dried), 12 ; Honey, i ; Lemonade Powder, i ; Pepper, 2 ; Sauces, etc., 3 ; Sausages, etc., 6. Butter Beans. Two of the samples were found to be maggoty and mouldy, and the District Medical Officers of Health for the areas concerned were informed of the circumstances. In one
