    Of the three samples of Salami submitted, the total viable count per gramme per sample was:- Sample No. 1 440 Sample No. 2 2,300 Sample No. 3 2.400 Staphylococci aurus, sulphite reducing Clostridia and salmonella/shigella were absent in ail three samples. Guyala Sausages Three samples submitted. The total viable count per gramme was:- Sample No. 1 14,400 Sample No. 2 59,000 Sample No. 3 25,000 Staphylococci aurus, sulphite reducing Clostridia and salmonella/shlgella were absent in all samples. The Public Analyst reported that these samples were a big improvement on the samples previously submitted. The remaining samples were found to be genuine. FOODSTUFF SURRENDERED AND DESTROYED.
